Thirteen-year-old holds a
'gift-less' birthday party

Paige Baldwin fell in love with The Arc of Dallas this past summer when she volunteered at Adventure Camp, a program designed especially for children and youth with disabilities. For her thirteenth birthday, she decided she didn’t really need anything herself, so she asked everyone to bring gift cards for Target that she could donate to The Arc. Her friends helped Paige raise $260 to purchase supplies and toys for Adventure Camp in 2008.

Special Friends holds
a bake sale

The Special Friends, a special needs ministry at First Baptist Church Allen, raised $688 by selling baked products to their congregation. To increase revenue, they took pre-orders a week before the day of the event!

Texas Motorcycle Roadriders Association add a silent auction to their annual chili cook-off

Each year the Texas Motorcycle Roadriders Association attracts hundreds of riders to their chili cook-off. To support The Arc of Dallas, they held a silent auction with donated items like restaurant gift cards, books, hotel stays, motorcycle riding accessories and more.

World Adult Kickball Association’s Thunder League hosts a Bingo Night

With great food and drink special provided by Stan’s Blue Note, kickball players played bingo and had the option of buying tickets to the 50/50 raffle. Great prices were donated from all over the Metroplex and over $750 was raise!

Parking Space for Sale

One underground parking space is given to each tenet in an office building located on Hillcrest. One tenet decided to sell their reserved space to raise money for The Arc of Dallas. Each month they receive a $60 check from one of their neighbors which they donate. Which company’s employees gave up their parking space? The staff at The Arc of Dallas!
